Using the toilet can lead to various issues. For example, how to repair a broken toilet pump?
How to Repair a Broken Toilet Flush Pump
First, you need to remove the broken flush pump. Turn off the water supply beneath the tank, then use a wrench. With one hand, hold the water inlet valve inside the tank, and with the wrench, remove the nut located below the tank and on the inlet valve. Then, pull upwards to take out the flush pump. Choose a new flush pump of the same model and reinstall it in the reverse order of disassembly.
How to Install Some Toilet Parts
1、There are many toilet parts, such as the inlet valve and the flush valve. The installation methods vary for different parts, with the main ones being the inlet valve, flush valve, and a button installation.
2、For example, the inlet valve controls the tank’s water supply. If the water level in the tank is low, it will automatically open and fill the tank. When the water level reaches a certain height, it will stop filling.
3、The flush valve, on the other hand, controls the water discharge. Once a specific amount of water is released, it will automatically close the flush button. By pressing it, you can initiate the flushing action. There are generally two sizes: one larger and one smaller, both are mostly round.
4、To install the inlet valve, remove the cover from the tank and find it inside. There will be a nut at the bottom that you need to remove, then install the new inlet valve in its place.
5、If you want to replace the flush valve, you will follow a similar procedure to that of the inlet valve. Remove the fixed nut and install the new flush valve of the same model.
6、If the flush button is malfunctioning, you need to purchase a complete set of replacement parts. If only the chain is damaged, you can simply replace it with a new one.
Summary:The above describes how to repair a toilet flush pump while also detailing some primary toilet components like the inlet valve, flush valve, and flush button. These parts are prone to damage, and if any issues arise, they may lead to water leaks or flushing problems.
