Using water in the kitchen can lead to a series of problems, such as leaking faucets, burst pipes, clogged pipes, etc. One of the most common issues is leaking kitchen faucets, especially those with hot and cold water controls. When this issue arises, the first thing we think of is getting a repair. So how do we fix a leaking 360-degree swivel faucet? Let's explore this together!

How to Repair a 360-Degree Swivel Faucet that Leaks

1. If the hot and cold water faucet is controlled by a main water supply valve, first close that main valve. If there are separate supply pipes for hot and cold water, close the corresponding two valves.

2. Remove the handle of the faucet to inspect its components. Use a pair of channel lock pliers or an adjustable wrench to take off the packing nut. Rotate the valve body or shaft in the same direction you would turn the faucet on to detach them.

3. Insert a flat-blade screwdriver into the handle fix screw hole (marked for hot and cold) and turn it counter-clockwise (left) about three turns.

4. Grasp the faucet handle with your left hand and pull it upwards with force while gently tapping the back of the screwdriver handle (make sure the handle is made of non-metallic material to avoid damaging the faucet's surface) to separate the "02 outlet handle" component.

5. Place the adjustable wrench on the hex position of the "04 cartridge retaining hex nut," adjust the size, and turn it counter-clockwise to remove the ceramic cartridge for inspection. If it's intact, retighten it by turning it clockwise. If damaged, replace it with a new cartridge.

6. Reassemble the components in the original order: "03 end cap," "02 outlet handle," and "01 hot and cold marker (note that red represents the hot water side and blue represents the cold water side)."
