I. What to do if the faucet base is leaking

A leak at the faucet base may be due to the O-ring of the water supply line not being installed correctly or being deformed. In this case, you need to remove the hose and check if the O-ring is loose. If it is loose, simply reinstall it properly. If the O-ring is deformed, it is recommended to replace it with a new one.

II. Common causes of faucet leaks

1. Causes of leaking from the spout

This may be caused by a damaged washer inside the faucet. You can use professional tools to loosen and remove the cap, then take out the washer and replace it with a new one.

2. Causes of leaking from the gap at the bottom of the faucet

This is caused by a damaged triangular sealing gasket inside the cap. You can remove the screw to take off the handle, then unscrew the cap, and finally take out the triangular sealing gasket and replace it with a new one.

3. Causes of water still flowing after closing the faucet

If you encounter this situation, it may be due to a loose cap or a deformed rubber ring on the valve base. For the former, it is advisable to remove the handle and decorative cover, then retighten the cap. For the latter, you can take out the valve core, check the condition of the rubber ring, and then reinstall it properly.

4. Causes of water leaking from the connection joint

This is generally caused by a loose cover-type nut. In this case, you can retighten the cover-type nut or replace it with a new U-shaped sealing washer.

5. Causes of water seeping from around the valve core

If you encounter this situation, it may be due to the valve core being loose or misaligned. It is suggested to remove the valve core and reinstall it correctly.
