If you need to install a light bulb or faucet at home, these tasks often rely on men, as they are generally more familiar with the processes involved and find them relatively easy. In fact, if we understand the operation methods, even our female friends can take on these installations. For example, how to disassemble a faucet spout? How to clean a faucet spout? Today, I will introduce these steps, ensuring that after reading, our female friends can install them properly.
How to Disassemble a Faucet Spout
1. Disassembling a faucet spout is quite simple. First, we can take a close look and note that the faucet has a spout for water flow. To remove the faucet spout, you need to prepare some tools. Get a wrench or pliers, and first remove the angle valve inside. You need to take out all the screws inside to detach the faucet handle.
2. At this point, you can hold the faucet with one hand and gently rock it back and forth before pulling it upwards. This is mainly because there is a part of the valve core that connects tightly with the handle. Since there are no screws, once you remove the handle, you can see the valve core on top. Unscrew the valve core, and there is also a fixed screw. Use the wrench to unscrew the fixed screw, and you can then remove the faucet spout.
2. How to Clean a Faucet Spout
When you turn on the faucet and find that the water flow is low, it is usually due to a blockage in the water flow. The faucet spout or valve core are the most likely places to become clogged. Simply cleaning the faucet spout will suffice. Prepare a basin of water and add a certain amount of white vinegar and baking soda. Soak the faucet spout in this mixture for about half an hour. After that, check the basin; the water will have impurities, as the combination of baking soda and vinegar can dissolve the limescale.
Use a soft-bristle brush to clean the filter screen, and then rinse it under the faucet to effectively clean the faucet. Reinstall it and you will find that the water flow is considerably better since the clogging materials have been removed.
In summary, if you find that the water flow is low when you turn on the faucet, you need to disassemble the faucet spout. The disassembly process is not that complicated; just follow the steps and use the necessary tools, and you can do it easily. Female friends can try this at home!
