Many rural families install water tanks on the rooftops, making water usage very convenient. Even when there is a water supply interruption at home, the tank can still provide water. However, when the faucet is turned on, there is no water, even though the tank is full. Today, let's analyze the reasons behind this.
Firstly, why is there no water from the faucet when the water tank is full?
1. One possible reason is that the pipe connected to the water tank is blocked, preventing the water from flowing to the faucet.
2. Another reason could be the lack of water pressure. For some people, the water tank is installed at a high position. When the height of the tank is significant, it creates a certain amount of water pressure; however, if the pressure is insufficient, there may not be any water when the faucet is turned on.
Secondly, what should be done if the water tank is full but there is no water from the faucet?
1. If the problem is due to a clogged pipe, the solution is relatively straightforward. We just need to identify which section of the pipe is blocked. It is advisable to hire a professional to come and clean the pipes, as they have the necessary tools, making the cleaning process quite simple. Typically, it can be resolved in about half a day.
2. If the issue is related to water pressure, we can install a booster pump next to the water tank. Once there is sufficient pressure, it will resolve the problem of the faucet not delivering water.
Thirdly, how to clean the water tank?
1. After a period of use, there can be a lot of sediment and scale inside the water tank. If it is not cleaned, the water used by the family may become dirty. To clean it, prepare a basin and a clean broom. Starting from the top of the tank, brush downwards along the tank's wall. You will notice that the water becomes very murky. Generally, it is best to clean from left to right and top to bottom to avoid missing any spots.
2. Once you feel the cleaning is sufficient, you can drain the water. The outlet valve is located at the bottom of the tank; it can be turned counterclockwise to open it. After draining the water, wipe it down with a towel and rinse again to ensure the water tank is thoroughly cleaned.
In summary, if you find that the water tank is full but there is no water from the faucet, it is primarily due to two considerations: either the water pressure from the tank is insufficient or the pipes are clogged. Addressing these two situations will resolve the issue.
