Many families install a ceiling heater in the bathroom to ensure that family members do not catch a cold while taking a shower. However, there are many precautions to take when installing a ceiling heater. For example, when drilling a hole for the exhaust port, it is essential to pay attention to relevant dimensions; otherwise, it will not match. What are the specific dimensions for drilling the exhaust port for a ceiling heater? What other issues should be noted during installation?
What is the size of the exhaust port for the ceiling heater?
According to the ceiling heaters available in the market, the exhaust port size is generally around 75 mm or 80 mm, using a ceiling-mounted design. This type of heater comes with its own exhaust function, so when drilling a hole, the opening size should be determined based on the size of the exhaust port of the heater. If your chosen exhaust port size is 75 mm, then the corresponding hole size should be about 80 mm. If the size of the exhaust port is 80 mm, the hole should be approximately 100 mm.
How to install a ceiling heater?
1. First, we need to determine the location of the exhaust port on the wall and mark it. Then, use a drill to create the hole.
2. Once the hole is drilled, connect one end of the exhaust pipe to the ventilation window, extending it to the exterior wall's exhaust outlet. Also, remember to seal the hole with cement.
3. Next, install the ceiling heater in place, ensuring its height is set correctly, generally around 2.3 meters. Once determined, proceed with wiring, removing the light bulbs from the ceiling heater first.
4. Following the instructions, connect the wires properly. Finally, connect the terminal block, insert the cover into the slot, secure it with springs, install all light bulbs, and conduct a power test to see if it operates normally.
What is the lifespan of a ceiling heater?
If a good quality ceiling heater is purchased, it can last for over 20,000 hours. If you choose a carbon fiber bulb, its lifespan can reach up to 40,000 hours, which means it can be used for over a decade. Therefore, both the quality of the product and the installation standards must be met to ensure safety in usage.
In summary:when you purchase a ceiling heater, be sure to determine the position of the exhaust port first and drill according to its size to guarantee safety in usage.
