The new sink faucet purchased for the home needs to be installed, so what is the specific installation method?

How to Install a Bathroom Sink Faucet

1. First, check whether the components of the faucet are complete. Before installation, clean the surrounding area of the sink and ensure that there are no debris around the plumbing to guarantee that the water supply line is clean.

2. Next, remove the rubber washers from inside the faucet, insert the water supply lines, and tighten them securely. There is a flexible hose next to it that needs to pass through the threaded connector. Then, connect the second water supply line to the water supply outlet by threading it through the connector.

3. After that, insert both water supply lines through the rubber washer and attach the lock nuts, tightening both the lines and the valve together. Ensure that the connection points are also tightly secured, but avoid using too much force to prevent deformation. Finally, open the water valve to check for any leaks. If there are none, that means the bathroom sink faucet is installed properly.

How to Repair a Leaking Faucet

1. The faucet is one of the most frequently used fittings in the home, and over time, it may inevitably develop leaks. First, we need to determine where the leak is coming from and what causes it.

2. Sometimes, the leak is simply due to forgetting to turn the faucet off completely, in which case, tightening it should suffice without any need for repairs. However, if the issue is caused by a damaged or aged washer, open the faucet and use a wrench to loosen the outer screws, locate the worn washer inside, and replace it.

3. If you notice water seeping around the faucet, first wipe the surrounding area clean and ensure it is dry, then apply some silicone sealant to seal it. If it continues to leak, it may be due to a faulty cartridge, in which case, you will need to replace the entire cartridge to effectively fix the leak.

In summary, installing a bathroom sink faucet is relatively simple. Just prepare all your components and tools, and follow the steps outlined above to complete the installation.
