Most people will install a heating lamp in their bathroom, but is the bulb in the heating lamp an ordinary bulb?
Is the bulb in the heating lamp an ordinary bulb?
You can use an ordinary bulb as long as it fits. However, the original bulb installed in the heating lamp meets explosion-proof standards, which can prevent mist from affecting it. Ordinary bulbs are not waterproof and generally have poor moisture and explosion-proof performance. Over time, the internal circuit board may become corroded and damaged. Also, if the size doesn't match, it can create gaps that affect the appearance. Therefore, it is better to choose a compatible bulb.
What are the precautions for installing a heating lamp?
1. It is best to install the heating lamp on the ceiling, but it shouldn't be too close. Maintain a distance of more than 40 cm to ensure proper heating without burning the skin.
2. The heating lamp should not be exposed to water. If the motor in the adjacent gaps gets wet, it can easily cause a short circuit. The metal inside the motor has excellent conductivity, making electric shock hazardous. Additionally, the heating lamp's operating temperature can reach 165 degrees Celsius, so it should not be touched directly to avoid burns.
3. When installing the heating lamp, it is unavoidable to use electrical wires. Different heating lamps require different lengths of reserved wires. We must determine the length based on the specifications of our heating lamp.
4. After installing the heating lamp, you need to connect the ventilation duct properly. Extend the ventilation duct into the room, and insert the lamp's casing into a small hole. Then, choose a suitable position based on the wind direction of the outlet.
In summary:from the above discussion, we can see that the bulb in the heating lamp can be an ordinary bulb. However, compared to the original bulb, an ordinary bulb is inferior in terms of explosion-proof, waterproof, and heat resistance, as the compatible bulbs are designed with corresponding standards, providing longer lifespan and better safety. Therefore, considering all aspects, it is still advisable to choose a compatible bulb. I hope this can help everyone.
