The drainage of a toilet is very important. If the drain outlet is not handled well, it will be very inconvenient to use in the future, and it will also affect the smoothness of the drainage system. So, how to remedy a situation where the toilet drain outlet is lower than the tiles?

How to Remedy a Toilet Drain Outlet Lower than the Tiles:

Dig out about 3 centimeters of soil around the drainage pipe. Then, add a horizontal connector inside the drainage pipe and apply more PVC glue on the connector and the pipe to ensure normal use. Additionally, you can buy a smaller sleeve to enhance the reliability of the connection; generally, it can be directly inserted. According to the actual situation, insert it to a certain length and seal it with sealing glue. Furthermore, when installing the toilet, a sealing ring, also known as a flange, should be installed on the drainage pipe. This flange acts as a seal to prevent sewage from overflowing.

What to Pay Attention to During Toilet Installation:

1、There must be a gap in the floor pit for any toilet installation. The standard toilet pit distance is the distance from the drainage pipe to the wall, and we need to choose an appropriate toilet pit distance based on our bathroom's distance. If tiles are laid, the distance to the pit is the distance from the center of the pipe to the tiles. If tiles are not laid, subtract the thickness of the tiles and about 20 centimeters from the measurement results.

2、Do not install the toilet too close to the shower area. This is why many families use a dry-wet separation design. Firstly, it compresses the shower space, making it inconvenient to bathe, and secondly, it can easily wet the toilet when showering, creating additional cleaning work.

3、Check the drainage pipe. Before installing the toilet, check the drainage pipe to ensure it is clean. Do not leave behind mud, sand, or other debris, as it can harden when dry and be difficult to remove. Therefore, after the toilet is installed, take protective measures. Additionally, pay attention to the positioning of the toilet; if it is not level, it can easily leak water, so adjustments should be made in a timely manner.
