There is a button on top of the toilet, which is mainly used for flushing. Do you know how to adjust the button screw? Next, I will introduce how to adjust the toilet button screw.
How to Adjust the Toilet Button Screw:
1、Open the lid of the toilet.
2、Once the lid is open, you will see two black columns; these are the toilet button screws. They can be adjusted in length to control the force of the toilet button.
3、When the water level is higher than the overflow pipe, you can adjust the position of the left float by rotating the white rod within the circle to adjust the screw.
4、In front of the flush button, there is a yellow switch used to adjust the toilet's drainage volume. If the drainage volume is too large or too small, you can adjust the height of the yellow switch.
How to Fix a Broken Toilet Button:
1、Toilet tank button does not pop up
For this issue, it's relatively easy to solve. The problem might not be that the button is broken. You can simply open the back cover of the toilet tank and lightly rotate it; this should allow the button to pop up.
2、Toilet tank button pressed down but has no response
If this is the case, there are mainly two reasons: one is that the button is stuck and cannot pop back up. In this situation, simply open the toilet tank cover and adjust it slightly to resolve the issue. The other reason could be that there is no water in the tank or the sealing of the pipes is not tight enough, which prevents the tank from filling with water. In this case, just fill the tank with water to solve the problem.
3、Insufficient water pressure inside the toilet
Insufficient water pressure inside the toilet can also lead to button issues. In this situation, you can open the tank cover and adjust the button inside. If the problem is due to rust, you can replace the button with a new one.
