When installing a hot and cold water faucet, typically the hot water pipe from the water heater is connected to the faucet. The connection of the hot water heater to the faucet can be divided into three steps. Below, I will provide a detailed introduction to these steps.

1.Pipeline Embedding

First, you need to create slots in the wall to lay the hot and cold water pipes to the designated position, and install a stopper at the water outlet of the pipe. For example, you can install a T-joint at the outlet of the water heater and lay the hot water pipe to places like the washbasin where hot water is needed. After laying the cold and hot water pipes, conduct a pressure test. If there are any leaks in the pipes, address them promptly. After repairs, perform a pressure test again, and then use cement mortar to fill and level the pipe groove.

2.Water Heater Installation

Determine the installation position for the water heater on the wall. Before deciding where to drill holes, please check the plumbing and electrical construction drawings to avoid drilling into water pipes or electrical wires. Use a power drill to drill holes and embed expansion screws. The expansion screws should protrude slightly from the wall. Next, align the back hooks of the water heater with the screws and hang it in place. Then, remove the stopper from the reserved water pipe and install the water valve. When installing the diverter valve, wrap the interface with sealing tape. Finally, connect the hot and cold water pipes using heat fusion and connect the water heater to the water valve with a water pipe.

3.Installing the Hot and Cold Water Faucet

First, remove the stopper from the water pipe and install the hot and cold diverter valve. Then, insert the sealing gasket and decorative base into the two flexible hoses, passing the other ends through the faucet mounting hole. Next, screw the two hoses into the inlet holes at the bottom of the faucet and secure the copper pipe to the faucet. Insert the faucet into the mounting hole. From below the countertop, pass the securing nut through the hoses and tighten it onto the copper pipe of the faucet. Finally, connect the two hoses to the hot and cold water valves.
