If the toilet needs to be relocated, it is necessary to install a toilet offset flange. Let's take a look at how to install a toilet offset flange.
Step-by-Step Guide to Installing a Drum Relocator:
1、First, create a line trench on the ground, ensuring that the trench is deep enough for the offset flange installation and does not affect the height of the floor.
2、After opening the trench, apply waterproof material to the surface to prevent any water seepage from the floor slab.
3、Connect one end of the offset flange, which has a rubber ring, to the original toilet drain outlet, while the other end connects to the newly designed toilet location.
4、Once the offset flange is installed, use cement mortar to fill the gap between the offset flange and the trench to avoid future water seepage issues.
5、After the installation, ensure that the floor is leveled and perform waterproofing to prevent any potential water leaks.
Things to Note When Installing a Toilet Offset Flange:
1、The installation distance of the toilet offset flange should not be too long, ideally kept within 30cm. A shorter offset distance is better; the maximum should not exceed 1 meter, as it increases the risk of blockage and unnecessary trouble.
2、If a long-distance relocation is necessary, it is recommended not to use siphonic toilets but to use direct flush toilets, as the direct flush toilets have more powerful flushing and can better reduce the risk of blockage.
3、During the relocation process, ensure the drainage slope is properly set, meaning the end near the drain should be lower, while the new drain outlet should be higher to facilitate proper drainage and avoid blockages.
4、After relocating the toilet, regular maintenance is necessary. Avoid placing large objects down the toilet, as this can easily lead to blockages.
In summary:this is an introduction to how to install a toilet offset flange and what to watch out for during the installation. It’s important to pay attention to the details to avoid issues that may affect daily use.
