Do you need to install a check valve for the toilet angle valve? As a novice in toilet installation, you might not be familiar with this. But don’t worry, let’s explore this together!

Do you need to install a check valve for the toilet angle valve:

No, it is not necessary. The key function of a toilet check valve is to prevent water from the toilet tank from flowing back into the municipal water supply. However, in practical life, this situation rarely occurs. Firstly, there is pressure in the municipal water supply pipes, while there is no pressure in the toilet tank, resulting in a pressure difference that makes backflow nearly impossible. Secondly, the inlet of the toilet tank is higher than the water level in the tank, so the water in the tank cannot flow back through the inlet into the municipal water supply.

Steps to install a toilet:

1、Before installing the toilet, thoroughly check the sewage pipe for any debris, such as dirt or paper, that may cause blockage. Also, check if the installation area is level on all sides. If the ground is uneven, level it before installation.

2、Determine the center position of the sewage pipe. A simple method is to flip the toilet over, find the center of the toilet’s sewage outlet, and mark a cross line at the center. This cross line should extend to the edge of the toilet base.

3、Install a special sealing ring in the toilet sewage outlet, or apply a layer of silicone sealant or a mixture of cement and sand (ratio 1:3) around it.

4、Align the cross line on the sewage outlet with the sewer pipe, maintain a level installation for the toilet, and press down firmly on the sealing ring. Additionally, install the floor screws and decorative caps.

5、After completing the above steps, proceed to seal the toilet. You can apply a layer of silicone sealant or cement around the bottom of the toilet. This will effectively prevent foul odors from escaping and block any standing water from entering the bathroom.

6、Before installing the tank accessories, clean the pipes by flushing them with water for 3 to 5 minutes until clear. Once the municipal water supply is clean, connect the hose to the angle valve, and then connect it to the installed tank components.

7、After installing the toilet, conduct a thorough inspection, such as checking if the inlet valve and seals are functioning properly.
