In order to achieve a greater sense of comfort during bathing, most people will install a heating lamp in the bathroom. When using it, attention to some details is necessary. Here, let's discuss whether the heating function of a heating lamp and the ventilation function can be used simultaneously.
Can the heating and ventilation of a heating lamp be used at the same time?
No, they cannot. The heating and ventilation functions use the same motor. Ventilation expels air outward, while heating blows air into the room. Ventilation utilizes a centrifugal fan, while heating relies on an axial flow fan. These two are positioned above and below the motor and operate based on different turning directions to achieve ventilation and heating. Therefore, it is not possible to use both the heating and ventilation functions simultaneously.
How to maintain a heating lamp?
1. After using the heating lamp, do not turn it off immediately. Allow the humid air in the bathroom to be expelled first before turning off the heating lamp. This prevents water vapor from entering the heating lamp, which could cause unnecessary damage. Additionally, ensure that the bathroom is well-ventilated and dry to extend its service life.
2. While the heating lamp is in operation, avoid splashing water on it. Although it has a waterproof design, the interior of the lighting component is not waterproof. This can lead to short circuits, posing a risk of electric shock to users and creating unnecessary problems.
3. When purchasing a heating lamp, pay attention to the thickness, which should not exceed the specified limits—ideally around 20 cm. Since the lamp needs to be mounted on the ceiling, an additional layer must be added to the ceiling for installation, ensuring that the back part of the heating lamp is centered. If the heating lamp is too thick, installation will be challenging.
4. When connecting the heating lamp, check if the cross-sectional area meets the requirements. Generally, it should be able to support the heating lamp to ensure normal operation. Any issues may lead to electric leakage, posing safety risks for users, especially in older houses.
In summary:regarding whether the heating and ventilation functions of a heating lamp can be used simultaneously, the answer is no. This is because they operate based on different turning directions of the motor, making it impossible to use both functions at the same time.
