After a long day at work, returning home with a fatigued body and enjoying a warm shower is a very comforting experience. However, it can be quite a hassle if the shower hose is damaged and water cannot flow. So, what should you do if the shower hose is broken?

Reasons for Shower Hose Damage

1. Improper installation of the shower hose can lead to deformation or detachment of the rubber gasket inside. If the interface is uneven or too thin, it may also show signs of damage, such as leaking.

2. The shower hose has a certain lifespan, and once it reaches that limit, it will start to crack, requiring a replacement with a new hose.

3. After using the shower hose for a period, a lot of limescale can accumulate inside, leading to blockages. This may result in reduced water flow or no water at all. Therefore, we need to detach the shower head hose, soak it in clean water for cleaning, and then reinstall it.

What to Do If the Shower Hose is Damaged

1. The shower hose has a rubber gasket. If it is damaged or deformed, you can take the shower hose to a hardware store to replace it. Make sure to choose the same model and consult the store owner for assistance in getting a new one. Simply screw it on clockwise, and it will be ready to use without any more leaking problems.

2. After using the shower hose for a while, it may accumulate a lot of limescale. You can mix baking soda with a certain amount of white vinegar in clean water and soak the hose in it for cleaning. You'll notice a lot of black grime floating to the surface, indicating that the limescale has been cleaned effectively. Rinse it with clean water and reinstall it onto the showerhead.

3. If the shower hose is already damaged, simply replace it with a new one. Unscrew the hose from either the showerhead or the faucet on both ends. Then, attach the new shower hose, connecting one end to the showerhead and the other end to the faucet. Since the connections have threads, you won’t need to apply much force, making it easy enough for anyone, including women, to operate at home.

In summary:when there is an issue with the shower hose, such as leaking or damage, it can be directly replaced. It is not particularly complicated; just purchase a new one from the store and you’ll be able to install it at home.
