When relocating a toilet, in addition to carefully handling the details, it is essential to choose the appropriate type of toilet to avoid unnecessary problems. Here’s a brief overview of what kind of toilet to use after a relocation.

一、What type of toilet to use after relocation

Generally, a direct flush toilet is recommended. This type is convenient to install and does not encounter clogging issues during drainage. It is not advisable to use a siphon toilet; if the distance of the toilet relocation exceeds 10 centimeters, you will need to reinstall the pipe and raise the floor by approximately 12 centimeters. Besides considering blockage issues, the tightness of the pipeline should also be taken into account.

二、What to note when installing a toilet

1、Before installing the toilet, check the sewage pipe to ensure that there are no mud, sand, or waste paper and other debris inside. Otherwise, you may encounter clogging issues after installation. The toilet should be installed on a level surface, and the drainage outlet should be cut short, with the floor above it by 2 to 5 millimeters.

2、Prior to installation, measure the drainage dimensions and select a suitable toilet model based on the distance between the drainage and the wall. It is advisable to choose a water-saving toilet with a capacity of 3 to 6 liters for increased energy efficiency.

3、Before installing the toilet, verify that all components are complete and follow the instruction manual for the installation. The drain outlet of the toilet should be flush; use a flange or silicone to ensure even application of adhesive, avoiding any areas being left untreated.

4、Once the toilet is installed, it should not be moved again until the adhesive has dried completely. Ensure that it is secured firmly and the water level is correct, with no leakage present. Additionally, use adhesive to seal any reserved holes to prevent odor issues.

In summary:regarding which type of toilet to use after relocation, the recommendation is generally a direct flush toilet, as it is convenient to install and does not have clogging issues during drainage.
