To ensure dry and wet separation in the bathroom, many people install shower enclosures in the shower area. How is the area of a shower enclosure calculated?

How to Calculate the Area of a Shower Enclosure

Since shower enclosures come in different styles, if it is a fan-shaped enclosure, the area should be calculated by multiplying the lengths of the two walls by the height. If it is a diamond-shaped enclosure, due to its varying dimensions, you will need to add the length, width, and height together, then multiply by the height. For example, if the length, width, and height are 45 cm, 64 cm, and 45 cm respectively, and the height is 90 cm, the calculation would be (0.45 + 0.64 + 0.45) × 0.9 to get the area.

What are the Specifications of Shower Enclosures?

1. When choosing the specifications of the shower enclosure, it is important to consider the size of the indoor space. Generally, the ceiling height is around 2.4 meters, so the height of the shower enclosure should be between 1.8 and 2 meters. Specific choices should take into account the actual heights of family members and the size of the space. If the enclosure is too low, water will splash out while bathing. However, if it is too high, it could affect aesthetics, and may also result in poor ventilation, making it stuffy during use.

2. The width needs to ensure that you can move your body freely while bathing, without touching the walls or glass which would cause inconvenience. The standard width is usually 90×90 cm. For larger individuals, a 100×100 cm enclosure can be customized. If the bathroom space is limited, an 85×85 cm enclosure may be set, but if it is below this size, such as 80×80 cm, it would be too cramped.

3. When setting the specifications for the shower enclosure, it is also important to maintain a certain distance from heating equipment. If the heating equipment is mounted on the wall, it should not be too close to avoid overheating, which could cause injury, or risk malfunction due to moisture.

In summary:the specifications and dimensions of shower enclosures vary based on different users and the size of the bathrooms in their homes.
