After the bathroom renovation is completed, we need to install the water heater and shower faucet. The installation steps for thewater heater and shower can be divided into the following five steps. Here’s a brief introduction.
1. Determine the Water Heater Installation Location
First, you need to determine the installation location of the water heater. Measure the length of the water heater, the distance between the hanging holes, and the distance from the holes to the water heater using a tape measure. Typically, the installation height of the water heater is about 2 meters, and there should be a gap of 25-35 centimeters between both ends of the water heater and the wall. Use the tape measure to mark the corresponding dimensions on the wall.
2. Hang the Water Heater
Hang the water heater in place. Before installation, check if the wall is a solid wall. Then, use an electric drill to create holes at the marked positions on the wall and insert the expansion plugs into the holes. Next, tighten the water heater hooks with a wrench and insulate the hooks. Finally, align the water heater mounting plate with the hooks and hang the water heater.
3. Install Water Heater Accessories
Install the other accessories of the water heater. Remove the cold and hot water plugs on the wall water heater and wrap the sealing tape around the threads of the water heater's triangular valve. Then, screw the cold and hot triangular valves into the corresponding cold and hot water interfaces on the wall. Next, install the safety valve at the water heater's inlet using a wrench, and connect the outlet interface at the outlet. Finally, use corrugated metal flexible hoses to connect the water heater inlet to the wall cold water valve and the water heater outlet to the wall hot water valve.
4. Install the Mixing Valve
Before installing the shower, you must first install the mixing valve for the water heater. Start by removing the two plugs at the mixing valve of the water heater. Then, wrap the sealing tape around the eccentric elbow of the mixing valve and screw it into the water outlet joint on the wall. Lastly, place a sealing gasket at the mixing valve interface, align it with the eccentric elbow joint, and secure it by tightening the screws.
5. Install the Shower Faucet
Begin by measuring the installation hole position of the shower base with a tape measure and mark it on the wall. Next, drill holes using an electric drill and fix the shower base to the wall with screws. Finally, connect one end of the shower hose to the mixing valve and the other end to the showerhead, placing the showerhead on the base. When connecting, you can place a sealing gasket at the hose joint.
In summary:this is a simple introduction to the installation of the water heater and shower. I hope that this article provides some reference and assistance for your future installation of water heaters and showers. Before installing the water heater, we should first check the electrical wiring of the water heater socket with an electrical testing device to ensure everything is connected properly.
